Kress EyePilot and EyePilot 4×4 Robotic Mower

RTKn Satellite Precision with Vision AI for New Hampshire Properties

About the Kress RTKn Robotic Mower

The Kress RTKn is a wire-free robotic mower that uses satellite-guided RTKn technology for centimeter-accurate navigation with no perimeter wire and no property-specific antenna required. It mows in precise parallel lines, handles multi-zone layouts, and navigates between separate turf areas automatically.

Seacoast Power Equipment has been serving the seacoast since 1965. We are an authorized Kress dealer in North Hampton, NH, and we currently stock the KR173, KR174, and KR236. Additional Kress robotic mower models may be available by special order. Contact us to confirm current availability and to discuss which model fits your property.

Best for: NH residential and large-property owners from 0.7 to 6 acres with recommended coverage. The KR173 and KR174 suit residential lawns. The KR236 is built for large residential properties, estates, and semi-commercial operations.

All three models share:

  • RTKn satellite positioning for centimeter-level accuracy with no perimeter wire and no property-specific antenna
  • Dead reckoning: when satellite signals are blocked by trees or structures, the mower continues on its route using inertial navigation and corrects itself when signal returns
  • Obstacle Avoidance System (OAS) for detecting and navigating around obstacles
  • Systematic parallel-line mowing pattern for maximum coverage efficiency and clean stripe finish
  • MAP (Mowing Action Plan) for advanced path optimization and dynamic adjustment
  • Multi-zone navigation: precisely routes from one turf area to another
  • Electronic cutting height adjustment via the Kress app
  • Self-leveling blade disc for consistent cut height on uneven terrain
  • Regenerative Brake System (RBS) for energy recovery on slopes
  • Anti-theft protection with electronic fence
  • 4G connectivity with OTA firmware updates
  • IPX5 weather resistance
  • Automated return to charging station

The KR174 adds dual-layer razor-sharp blades on a dual-disc system for handling dense and overgrown grass. The KR236 adds TeamWork collaborative technology, allowing multiple units to operate in the same area without overlap; a fleet management platform; an in-wheel drive motor with all-terrain wheels; and a 13.78-inch dual-disc cutting system with 12 blades.

Most wire-based robotic mowers require burying a perimeter cable around the entire lawn boundary. That installation takes hours, the wire degrades over time, and any break stops the mower until the wire is found and repaired.

The Kress RTKn eliminates that entirely. RTKn (Real-Time Kinematic navigation) uses a network of satellite correction signals to position the mower to within centimeters. No wire in the ground. No antenna pole in the garden. No setup hardware specific to your property. The mower arrives, you define your zones in the Kress app, and it starts mowing.

Where satellite signals are obstructed by tree canopy, buildings, or shaded areas, the mower switches automatically to dead reckoning, continuing its route using onboard inertial sensors until the signal is restored. Coverage continues uninterrupted.

The systematic parallel-line mowing pattern the Kress uses is worth noting separately. Most residential robotic mowers wander in random patterns. The Kress mows in straight parallel lines like a human operator would, producing a consistent stripe finish and full coverage without gaps or redundant passes.

Wire-free robotic mowing technology is precise. Getting it set up correctly for your specific property (multi-zone layouts, island beds, narrow passages, and satellite coverage checks) is where local expertise matters.

Seacoast Power Equipment has been doing this since 1965. Our factory-trained technicians handle the complete setup: zone configuration, app walkthrough, boundary verification, and a test run on your property before we leave. You do not leave guessing whether the mower is configured correctly.

Our service department carries $150,000-plus in parts on-site and turns around most service jobs in 24 to 48 hours. We offer pickup and delivery throughout the Seacoast region so equipment service never has to disrupt your schedule. Nearly 60 years of hands-on equipment experience. Over 100 years of collective technician knowledge.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. All three models use RTKn satellite navigation. No perimeter wire is buried, and no property-specific antenna is required. Define your mowing zones through the Kress app, and the mower navigates using satellite correction signals delivered over the air.

When satellite signals are blocked, the mower automatically switches to dead reckoning using onboard inertial sensors. It continues its route and corrects positioning when satellite signal is restored. Coverage is not interrupted.

The KR173 covers up to 0.7 acres recommended with a 7 7/8-inch cutting width and 3 blades, suited for standard residential lawns. The KR174 covers up to 1.2 acres recommended with a wider 8 21/32-inch dual-disc 6-blade system that handles dense and overgrown grass more effectively. The KR236 is a large-property mower covering up to 6 acres recommended with a 13.78-inch 12-blade dual-disc system, fleet management software, TeamWork multi-robot coordination, and all-terrain in-wheel drive motors.
